    Nope I didn't even think about till you just mentioned it lol. Just took some accurate measurements and used my miter saw to cut them.

    Well it's pretty much done, just a few touch ups and ofc not staining it until somebody buys it and decides the color. The bottom has some scratches because The measurements for the driver were off from RE's site, the driver fit perfect without the gasket around it but I had to enlarge the cutout to make it fit with the gasket:mad: Luckily it's on the bottom which is not seen:frown: I tested it out today with lots of different music and with Iron Man 2 and with Avatar. Sounded really nice, no distortion and tight. It does have slight port noise occasionally but with only super low frequencies, mainly in music. Sounded great with the movie soundtracks. Unfortunately I couldn't really go with a larger port or a second port to keep it at the 20 Hz tuning frequency because I just didn't have the room for it inside the enclosure. I did have one slight vibration inside when it hit the resonant frequency. I forgot to put padding in between the port tube on the brace:redface::confused: Now that's fixed and overall sounds real nice and should only get better as the driver breaks in as it's quite stiff right now. And one last thing, it is quite heavy for a 10 inch subwoofer lol:tongue:

    Yep, I never trust the manufacturer cutout spec. I caliper it.

    Did you try and model with a slot port?

    Thanks! I had thought about going with a slot port but I already bought everything and decided to stick with the round port. If I get more interest from people, as long as I can keep the sub/table roughly the same size then I think I might try out building them with a slot port.

    Did you just glue the internal braces in? How did you do the top? Is it plywood with edging?

    Very nice work... I can picture one along side my couch, but methinks shipping to California would be prohibitive. Might need to break out the tools this summer. Thanks for the inspiration!

    There are some strategically placed brad nails as well:tongue: Yes, the top is Birch ply with 3/4" trim around the edges. The entire thing is very solid, and quite heavy:tongue:

    So did you end up with nail holes on the outside that you just filled in or did you do it angled internally?

    What wood did you make the legs out of, and if you don't mind, where and what type of edging did you use?

    I'm going to be making a TV stand this year (hopefully) and I'm always looking for ideas!

    Where in Ohio are you? If not too far perhaps you should bring that to the May 22nd Polkie meeting in Lafayette Indiana. I know I would love to see and hear it in person lol...

    Couple of these might help me get more subs since like you said the WAF factor is there since my wife can get the stain to match our current end tables and would allow for proper placement stealth like which I cant do with my PSW125 right now....

    Yeah really all I did was just nail from the outside, the nails are so small that the holes are easily filled and not noticeable if filled and sanded properly. Just if you are staining you want to use filler that's the same color as the wood you are using or you can make your own from the sawdust and glue.
    I made the legs out of poplar. The edging I used is from Lowe's, that's where I bought all the lumber. It's 3/4", and really they have all types of different decorative moulding that you could use. And if you have any other questions feel free to ask.

    I live in the northeast, in between Akron and Cleveland. It would definitely be cool to bring out there. Unfortunately I didn't realize there was a meet going on and is short notice, I work weekends and have used all my vacation time when I hurt my back at the beginning of the month, and won't have any more time till late summer:frown: But who knows:tongue: That or maybe somehow you will get a demo of it:tongue:

    That sucks. Yeah we have been planning it since right after the first one which was sometime last month I think lol..

    If you can find a way to make it that would rock since our venue (NooshinJohns house) is no longer an option after this month since hes moving to Cali :frown: and taking his gear with him lol...:frown:

    Not sure where it will move to or when the next one will be, but trust me in that I am hoping another happens.

    Regardless you can tell for sure you have some workmanship in them.
