For you bay area guys, I've been watching this pair of Focus 220s for nearly 2weeks now. Price has dropped from $1800 to now $1500. I suspect it can be had for under $1400 with a little negotiating. New set of grills from Dynaudio should be around $80 last time I checked.

    http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/ele/2284857097.html

"We currently have a near mint pair without grills of Dynaudio Focus 220 speakers in dark cherry for sale........"

Note: I'm not affiliated with this set of speakers or the dealer trying to sell them.

Enders I'm guessing the Krell on CL didn't work out?

Otherwise I'd expect a thread with a pic of you hoisting it above your head. Or atleast laying next to the huge beast.

Two emails in with no response :(...

Plan to keep emailing for the next week.

and trust me, if I get it, there would be a picture of the amp, a picture of the ticket I would get from blasting my speakers too much, followed by a picture of a bunch of blown woofers and tweeters in my Monitor 60's lol.....

that or a picture of an electrician trying to fix my apartments wiring that I fried since it requires a dedicated 20 amp line with nothing else on it lol....and thats not happening in my apartment..

    ED A5-350 and HSU VTF-1

I've been waiting for a vtf-1 to show up somewhere and when it finally does, it's attached to an ED beast. I'd go $300 on the HSU. Anyone in chicago want the ED for about half price of new? ($390 versus $800 for the ED new, although this one is the old style whatever that means)

An HSU VTF-1 in good condition will go for 300 all day on ebay. If you have the cash just buy them both and sell the HSU if no one goes in with you. I might be tempted but I am a little far ;-)
