A pair of these has finally come up for sale on the local buy and sell web site,that appear to be in very good condition.Will be a 6 hour road trip to get them,can they be packged and shipped safely? What is the difference between 1's, 1 B etc... Does $450.00 sound like a resonable price?

    Hi RW,

    How are things? 450 is OK if the speakers are mint and depending on which 1s they are.

    The 1 and the 1A have the dimensional tweeters that were discontinued.

    I'm pretty sure the 1B don't and the 1C most definitely do not.

    Of all the 1s, I would prefer the 1Cs if you can find them! But the others are fine...there a couple here who 'even' like the dimensional tweets?

    Here's a resource that will help you, but it's also 'dated' so remember that when you look at the selling prices!

    If you get the early ones with the side by side tweeter make sure you get the IC cable. Also talk him down. $450 is way too high. If they have the tweeters vertically inline then $450 isn't bad if they are in decent shape.

    I am currently selling the SDA 1A's for $275 or Best offer, and one of them needs new tweeters. Ben is right priced way too high
