HT receiver or pre under $2000 recommendations

    I just had my NAD T175HD and Anthem D2 come in, I am going to set them up tonight and take a little listening tour. Hopefully, I will have some feedback by the end of the weekend. My MIT HDMI cables came in yesterday as well, so lots of new fun stuff to try out.

    FYI AV = Preamp in Marantz speak. A Preamp doesn't need a lot of weight for power.

    Huck thats awesome that you had the balls to take the plunge on the marantz av7005 and it will be great to hear what ya have to say .What kind of gear will you be hooking it uo to and what gear have you previously owned

    I was reading about the anthem receivers all day and the anthem mrx 500 seems to be the best option although anthem left out the analog 7.1 section on all models and is considered a deal breaker by many
