Thought I take a post to say more about the Grado and thanks for the support Ben. It turns out that on AutoBeef.com there are more than 800 people who reported 01/02 Civic catastrophic transmission loss; some as early as 57K miles. Then I found 3 recalls affecting half a million 02's, one of which reported possible explosion of the airbag inflater unit sending shrapnel at the driver resulting in "possible fatality". Only 4K units were further affected by installation of non-safety glass which could sending shards of "real" glass at the passengers.

So your tranny fails abruptly, you hit something, the inflator explodes like a grenade showering you with metal fragments (possible popping the airbag), and shards of glass are ...well worst case scenario of course, but I'm just in shock.

Honda will not own up to the obvious fact that the 01/02 had a faulty torque converter which fails without warning endangering drivers and ruins the transmission.

I bought a Grado Ref1 from my dealer and noticed the cart. was misaligned with regard to the generator's relation to the cart body (azimuth). Grado replaced it w/o question and it is still in box. I should probably be selling my other cart given the circumstances but I just can't part with the Soundsmith.
