Anyone have a remote for Adcom GTP 500 pre. :confused:

    There's one on ebay right now for ~$40.

    I need one too but I don't feel like spending that much.

    A universal would likely work. I know my B&K remote turns the GTP on and off no matter what button I hit.:tongue:

    If either of you guys could use a remote from a GTP450, I have one that works... but not on my GTP450... that's fried, as far as I can tell :frown::confused:

    PM or email me if you're interested, I can probably let the thing go for $50 shipped? Fix up the 450 and sell it off for a C-note, the thing is in excellent shape otherwise. And no, I have no idea why it won't power up anymore.
    So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

    Hey guys, hope I'm not stepping on any toes, but Adcom coded their remotes to be unit specific. The 450 remote will only work on the 450. I found out the hard way, picked up a 500 remote for my 450, no go. I sold the 500 remote a couple months ago.
    Keep your eyes on ebay, be patient, you will probably be able to pick one up in $20 range.

    Unit specific is not entirely true! My GFP-715 and 750 preamps work with both units remotes. In fact the GFP-715 comes with a 710 remote. You may want to call Adcom or check Adcom Direct remotes for compatability.
