When watching TV which is the proper surround mode?

It depends.Most HD are 5.1.The others are 2 channel downmixed to Pro Logic.The 5.1 also depends on whether or not you have the proper outut jacks on your reciever etc.Parasound Avc-1800

Regular TV, or HD TV? For regular TV I cycle through the different modes since it appears each mode has different results in how it balances the front and rear levels. Pick the one that sounds best for the show. Or just use stereo.Lumin X1 file player, Westminster Labs interconnect cable
