It's designed to be local. Not designed for shipping or buyer protection like audiogon or eBay. If a buyer wants to have a item shipped and the seller agrees there's nothing to protect the buyer, and there's nothing the buyer can do to get his money back. -

I understand and I do realize that. I only mentioned it because I figured most members on here are seasoned enough that they understand the risks and can decide from their own experience....since this a rare item. But, in hindsight, I guess there are quite a few new members here (and many viewers who don't post) that might not realize it. Dually noted. Back to our programming.

Sure if somebody wants to ship something I would imagine they could if they wanted to-I don't think its against the terms of use, but as leroy stated--it's 100% buyer/seller risk--Of course there are inherent risks with local in-person deals as well.
I know I won't do anything other than in-person deals via CL. If I want to involve shipping I'll deal with established forums like CP, eBay or Audiogon.____________________

Probably a dumb question, but.....anyone know how much of an improvement this would be over my Pioneer Elite PD65 with the stable platter? I have been considering upgrading my PD65 by adding a DAC to it, but would this Arcam be as good as doing the combo?
I know I can add a DAC to the Arcam too in the future, and be in really good shape, but if I bought this (or another good CDP of similar price) I most likely wouldn't be able to add a DAC for a loooong time?..... ><////(*> -
