Yes folks, I'm risking being raked over the coals and then shot by you folks by posting this here, but here it is. You all know the story.

Ring is a 6 prong Tiffany setting.

Specs according to the EGL USA certificate:

Weight - 0.59ct
Shape/Cut - Round Brilliant
Color - H
Clarity - VS2
Est Retail Value - $2,740

Ring was purchased in Feb for $2000 plus tax, asking $1,250

vc69 has expressed interest and gets first chance at this.

    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    Just got off the phone with vc69. He was very interested, and actually paypal'ed the money while we were on the phone. Getting it boxed up and ready to ship for tomorrow.

    Couldn't have asked for a smoother transaction than that. Apparently he really was interested.

    If you recovered 50% of more on the dollar, you did great and vc69 got a great deal. Nothing like sticking it to the man (in this case the diamond merchants!).

    I did recover a little bit more than 50%. Not as much as I owed, but more than I was fearing I would get. No doubt I was hoping for more, but sometimes reality comes along and kicks you in the ****. I'm happy with the deal and glad that Kevin is as well!

    All things considered, I am glad you were able to get out from under most of the debt. I read your original post and felt badly for you to be in this situation. However, seems like you are happy with unloading the ring and getting what you realistically expected. Here's to happier days!!!!!!
