Is there any way to improve volume or AQ of cheap built in computer speakers. I got an inexpensive Toshiba laptop and the speakers suck and the volume stays very low.

I know I can get external powered speakers and I also run it through my audio system at times...but is their any internal fix. Is there any way to change the speaker driver?.....or would the internal space/size be too limiting?

thanks

Neil

Not really. External sound card, external speakers are your best option. Crappy laptop speakers are just that: crappy.

When it came time we changed from our (favorite) Sony Vaios to HPs because the HPs have Altecs. The Altecs aren't great but the Sonys have Rice Krispy boxes.

'Puter companies have earned their black marks for use of crappy speakers.

Maybe Polk should get in the game ...

Your out of luck on this one unfortunately. I would say get yourself a nice set of cans and enjoy with a different sound card maybe.
