I am buying amp for HT and was looking at various brands and saw this on the gon
My question is what kind of juice do these amps need to have them sing ?
Do you need special modifications done to the fuse box ?
How can you tell what amp needs modifications done to the fuse box?

They are incredibly efficient, actually. IF you're going to run at the ragged edge, however, I'd run a dedicated 15 amp circuit at minimum. Are you talking standard or Signature model? What is the rest of your system makeup?TNRabbit

I ran mine on a 15amp circuit, along with the rest of my theater equipment, and they tripped only on rare occasion. If you're on a 20amp, you should be in great shape.

I run my 425x5 Sunfire on a 15amp with no troubles, but when I run my LSi's up front it can cause the lights to dim... I would say it depends on the speakers a bit as well. If you run 4ohm speakers a 20 amp circuit is not a bad idea. The Gear... Standard wall outlet will be just fine. If you want you can run a dedicated line, but that's to get a less noisy outlet, not because the amp requires any special power needs.

I power all of my listed gear off a single 20 amp circuit. A second would be better but I've never had any issues even when hitting the PowerGuard on my amps.
