I just picked up a DSW3000 today. Now I have to figure out what I'm going to do with my old sub. If I sold it I could probably get $100 for it.

A) Sell it ($100)
B) Keep it, run both!
C) Keep it, amplify towers(would this even be worth it?)

Here's my setup:
2x Monitor 70
1x CS2
2x Monitor 30 Bookshelfs
1x MicroPro DSW3000
Pioneer VSX-D409 (Its old and needs upgrading next I think)
14 gauge wiring

I bought the extended warranty(10 years) on the tower speakers with the intention of amplifying them. I'm guessing I wouldn't get much out of the amp in the PSW10 though. Its a tiny amplifier.
Towers: Monitor 70's
Center: CS2
Rears: Monitor 30's
Sub: MicroPro 3000
Receiver: Pioneer VSX-D409
Screen: Samsung 42" 720p
All in a 12x12 bedroom...

I would sell the sub and start saving for an amplifier. Like you said above "I bought the extended warranty(10 years) on the tower speakers with the intention of amplifying them". the PSW10 wont do much for 10 years and isn't quite worth the hassle of ripping apart. Take the money and run, save for an amplifier. Also do you plan on using the amplified power for HT or 2 channel use?

Or even better yet, start saving for a new receiver that produces more power and has preouts.

I was just planning to amplify the front monitor 70's. Not sure what kind of amp would work good with them though.

As far as a receiver goes I'm looking at the cheaper Pioneer Elite series.
