    Chuck, I'll probably have 2, one dented - one not.

    Does Polk offer a silk (black) dome replacement for the 3000, or is it the same as the original? Reason I'm asking, I'm looking at my options for a new - matched set for my 15tls...

    Yes, Polk offers the black silk dome replacement for the SL3000, it's the RD0105-C.

    My originals look pretty black. I don't know what that means. I think they are originals. Obviously I would think the dentented one would be worth more... :D

    PS: As far as I know the ones I have are original. I left them sitting around for 2 years and all of a sudden one does not work. I quickly replaced it with one from you (russman), an SL2000, but it sounds a little ragged.

    (I tried to tell Hoosier it was still under warranty but I don't think he bought it... :D:D:D

    Due to the process in making the SL3000, some come out kinda black, some are silver, some are a blue/silver and some are kinda gold colored. All sound the same.

    It may have something to do with the amount of aggravation you will eventually go thru to find parts for them.

    1.2 times more than normal....etc :D
    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
