I have been looking for a pair of RT7s or RTi35s as new surrounds to go with my RT55 and RT7(dual center setup) and have run across a pair of RT5s. Anybody think I'd be ok with them as surrounds? or should I keep looking for the 7s or 35s? I'm hoping to not spend over 200.

Thanks!

Brad

The new RTI5/7 will not be the best match to your set, the RTI38 would be the same as yours and would be the best choice in my opinion. Get the 38's if you still can.

I know the five has a silk dome tweet that doesn't match. But the tweet in the 38 doesn't match either. So could you elaborate a little more? BTW I'm the RT5 is a mid 90's vintage speaker not a new one.

    Thanks!
