    Wow !

    I had 3 other offers and none came through. There was no request to wait or IMO a strong commitment.

    I sold to first person that paid.

    WHen I make an offer that is not the asking price I always make a statement that says if we can agree to these terms please send me your paypal so I can pay you or a commitment.

    The door was left open and someone else came through. I made no addition money on sell over this guy.

    I will not make any further justification on this or bash anyone.

    I don't know both sides of the story on this so I'll keep that part of the comment to myself but....
    I wanted this preamp bad but I wouldn't have the spare money until the 26th or 27th (today or tomorrow).
    I was offered this and was given the option to pay by this weeks end. The offer was as lenient and as generous as possible.
    I had to decline this more than hospitable offer just in case I didn't get my money in time. It was a good thing that I declined since a fellow Polk member didn't come through on paying me on time and I couldn't have paid for the preamp on time either. "Bird in hand" thing.
    Anyway, my conversations via email and on the phone were more than clear that I was dealing with a quality person. Top notch as far as I was concerned.

    Well, I don't know what each PM said, but looks like Dave was willing to buy, and I would also be dissapointed if I think I'm first in line and in a matter of a couple of hours I find out someone else got it.
    Take it as a learning for future transactions, or not. Up to you.

    FYI, I was definetily the first to contact the seller. I said I could give him 200 now (That's all I had) and in a week or two when some other deals come through, I'd be able to pay the rest. He said that would be fine as long as I could make a commitment, but until then, if someone else came, he'd have to move on it. I told him I couldnt' give him a commitment, and I thought he was very fair.

    Just wish I had the mula to throw around :)

    I see both sides here. Someone was willing to pay immediately and there was seemingly no commitment to buy from daboyz. Someone else came along and ponied up the cash and it was done. I don't see the need to be angry with the seller that you missed out on a deal. There have been many transactions on here where I have expressed interest via PM and had every intention to buy, but someone beat me to the punch. No love lost.

    Not knowing all the details, I'm not going to comment on this sale. I will say that my past dealings with Tracy have been top notch and I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again.

    I have dealt with both of these guys,,and never had a problem with either one,,I don't know the specifics--hopefully there are no hard feelings,, maybe the synergy gods are looking out for you,,I dunno--I'm grasping here..:confused:

    Tracy pm'd me. I replied. We're totally cool. I think that he's the real deal and a great person but things didn't go down the way I felt they should have. He felt bad about the situation and iterated that and I probably could have handled my end a little better. It's over but I feel my situation was a little different than others.

    I will not have any worries about dealing with him in the future and I hope no one else will either. Just an unfortunate situation that we worked out.

    I just told him to trust me next time.............:D
