    I'm not sure what you're after... the Wadia is great, but a compressed file is already working with a lot less information. On the other hand, lossless files through the line out or even the headphone jack of my iPhone (in airplane mode) are more than good enough, for more than background listening. If the limiting factor is the source file, it's hard to make it any better; the tubes will add some warm distortion but otherwise just soften the sharp edges.
