Can't vouch for Centron brand, but price seems right: http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0318006

Bricks and mortar Microcenter may be near you, too.

Wow, that is a heck of a price...I also have not heard of that brand, but 4gb for $26 is awesome. I have (if my memory is correct) 2 - 1gb Kingston brand, that I took out of my acer aspire 4520 when I bought it, to upgrade to 4gb. I'll pop them in to be sure that it's really 2x1gb like I remember, and if you want them, $20 bucks including postage and paypal fee will get them to ya.

Out of curiosity, may I ask what is model number of your Kingston notebook RAM? DDR-667 or DDR-800? (given that manufacturers has moved onto DDR3 and DDR2 memory is now becoming much more scarce, I think your offered price is also really darn good)

it's 667, and I popped it in and checked, it is indeed 2x1gb. it's just sitting here collecting dust so to speak, so if I can help out a polkie, I'm good. I have been on the receiving end most of the time here, so I like to balance the scales a bit :)

just be aware of the ratings sometimes its good to stick with known online stores rather than
getting into trouble.......just informing you can try
    newegg.com
    frys.com...etc

Talweh, I ordered the microcenter ram, but I just received a backorder notice. I would love to have the 2 gigs you are offering. I will send you a PM. If I receive the 4 gigs, I will offer the 2 at the same price. Thanks everyone for your help. Jeff

Thanks Talweh. Paypal sent. I am not counting on the Microcenter deal. I do have one local and have bought from them before with no issues. Never purchased on line from them. Love this forum!
