You have to try this CD if you have the LSi15's! My system right now consists of a Pioneer CD player, a Jolida tube amp with nos tubes and of course the LSi15's. I have over 400 CD's, a hundred of which show the strengths of the SDA's. None of them even come close to this CD for showing off the LSi15's. When I sell the '15's this disc will be played in full. Overall I have been unhappy with the '15's for my given system and room but I could change my mind if more CD's had the qualities of this one. You absolutely have to try it. It is the only material I've tried so far that really impressed me with these speakers.

Jimmy Smith "Dot Com Blues".

The music style is old black style blues with a lot of B3 organ and guitar in the backround. Jeez, I hope I haven't offended anyone with this description.

You have to have it! Believe me on this one...

max, why are you unhappy with your 15?
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

I didn't realize you had 15's! It's hard to remember who's got what.

It is probably more of a room problem but I am really a 2 channel guy and the LSi15 doesn't compete with the SDA's for 2 channel, at least not in my room with my electronics.

Max, sorry to hear that. I know 15 can be a pain to setup and tweak. Perhaps FrankZ's demo cd will help you to assess whether you'll be keeping them or not.

I know Cer is waiting to get his first dib here :D:D

Have you tried SS amplification to drive them?

I tried my soundcraftsmen 375 watt per channel amp. Certainly opened up the sound a lot but it still didn't do it for me. Compared to the SDA's and with my room they just don't have what I'm looking for. No one speaker is for everyone. I must say that they are very impressive in their own right.
