Again, it's available at this price as of this post....

Acoustic Research (AR) AV100B tube-powered iPod table radio @ Amazon.com

I checked the owner's manual and it's powered by vacuum tubes. Which kind? The manual doesn't specify.

According to the owner's manual, you can connect an external source (i.e. CD player) to the unit. It even has a subwoofer output and a detachable power cord (in case you want to use an after-market power cord :D ).

Shipping is a little steep for a business and almost $22. Still I will do some more research, what a great little idea.

I wish it had external hook up for a small set of speakers.

If I were to guess, I'd say EL84's.

It's made by Audiovox and I have found nothing about the tubes, even the manual only calls attention to the "power outout tube viewing window". I doubt very much those are output tubes

Here's a copy of the owners manual

10 watts coming from a tube is a bit of good power. Do not underestimate them.

Overstock says it comes with a 10year manufacturer's warranty!!!! That's gotta be a typo. I might pick one of these up for the bedroom.

It's just a name now, George, like KLH and Admiral and RCA and...

As to the amp; probably a class AB analog chipamp output and a tube buffer between the line level inputs and the power amp. The alternative would be some Russian or Chinese surplus TV pentode being used as an audio output.
