I recently got an Adcom 5503 amp and two of the rack mount plugs are missing. Does anyone know where they can be found at? I called Adcom and their parts provider and they said they weren't available. I would also like to know the thread size of the rack holes on the amp. If I can't find the plugs I will use button head screws in black oxide. The guys at Adcom didn't even know the thread pattern. Hopefully one of you does.

Thanks guys!

Ok, i went through the same with with a 565, and I think how I solved it was that there was another screw on the chassis that matches the thread pattern for the rack mounts. So- unscrew 'em one at a time till you find one that fits, then take it down to Home Depot/Lowes; they should have a display with a bunch of holes to test out that'll tell you what the thread pattern is.

    10-32 thread pitch.

That's the threading for the usual rack, not the holes on the amp- they're smaller.

it's 6-24 i believe. I will check at Fastenal in the afternoon. UNC, that did work by pulling one of the existing screws from the bottom. Perfect fit. Thanks for the tip.

I took a guess when I was at work but after looking at my amp I think it's an 8-24 but without a thread gauge I can't say for sure. Not sure if Adcom used metric or not if so then maybe a M4.

they are 6-32. The Adcom sure drives the A9's very very nicely.
