Man!!! Was I ever impressed with this system!

I stopped in one of my local audio digs the other day to have a listen. Their Premiere HT room was staggering good to say the least!! I was not prepared for the experience that was awaiting me.
The room was featuring the Klipsch top dog Palladium speakers.
Palladium P-39F for the mains
Palladium P-27C pulling center duty
Palladium P-27S surrounds (4)
The mains & center were powerd with McIntosh MC501 monoblocks for the front sound stage. And the (4) surrounds were powered with a McIntosh MC205. The bottom end was handled with a JL Audio Gotham g213 sub. I know the term "Jaw Dropping" is used rather loosely but this was actually an understatement!! The sheer power, finess & the gut wrenching grip on all the music & movie demos was simply astonishing. Talk about being there live at a concert!!! I simply melted in my chair as the music was playing. It was the most awesome sounding system I've had the pleasure of listening to for both music & movies.
I was half tempted to re-fi my house & go back & buy it. Man, i have to stay the hell away from that place...intoxicating!!!

Bob and Ron's perhaps?
I was at Bob and Ron's the other day and they had the same rig setup. At least I saw all those components--I don't recall if they were all in the same room or not.
Oh and Bob and Ron's had the Palladiums on sale 50% off just a couple weeks ago at thier tent sale.____________________

You could buy a 2009 Porsche 911 for the cost of that system. It shouldn't be anything less than "jaw dropping".
But you can't drive a Porsche 8 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

I'm sure they're great for home theater/multi-channel. I wouldn't want a pair for 2 channel though."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

Paradigm speakers are exceptionally good. Fit and finish is top notch. I think there in wall in ceiling on wall and subs are some of the best in the business. Very dynamic and clear.
McIntosh powering anything makes anything sound it's best. Excellent gear.
I hate when I run into a "blow me away" demo. It makes me question my own choices.Dan

Dan, I think you read too fast...they weren't Paradigm speakers, they were the Klipsch Palladium's. Some serious sound from those guys. Yeah, it was there Ardmore location. One of these days I'll have to get to the Montgomeryville store. The sales rep at Ardmore said that's it's about 2-3 times the size of the Ardmore store. That sounds like a lot of fun listening.
Dan, what's your experience with the Paradigm Monitor series? I've been reading some rather good reviews on them & I know you've been involved with Paradigm for some time now."2 Channel & 11.2 HT "Two Channel:Magnepan LRSSchiit Audio Freya S - SS preConsonance Ref 50 - Tube preParasound HALO A21+ 2 channel ampBluesound NODE 2i streameriFi NEO iDSD DAC Oppo BDP-93KEF KC62 sub Home Theater:Full blown 11.2 set up. -
I was at the Montgomeryville store last week. It's sweet! And if you're looking for Polks-6th Ave Electronics is only just across the street.____________________
