Attachment not found. Attachment not found.

I've got to figure out a way to clean this up.

I hope this answers most of your questions. BTW I'm bi-amping the front speakers, hence the splitter.

    Jimmy

You tell lies. I asked you no such thing.:p

The back of my A/V rack looks pretty similar...lol

I'm sure you'd be just fine stacking the Onk on there as far as the weight goes...I'd just be worried about heat issues. I'm not familiar with the Emo's, so I'm not sure how hot they get. Perhaps someone else can chime in on that.

my xpa-3 doesn't get too hot at all, but I hear the onkyos get real hot. I'd try to find an alternative to stacking the two - but thats me.

    Super,
How happy are you with the Pioneer Elite AVR and XPA-3. I have a similair setup - including same speakers - and have been shopping for a GFA-555. BUT, for a bit more, you can get an XPA-3 with same WPC for the fronts PLUS drive my center. Your thoughts...

the xpa is my first "true" amp, so I really can't compare it with anything. The pio did a good job pushing my speekers, but after adding the xpa-3 to my fronts and center, it was night and day. The sound is so much fuller and robust. Having the center amped really blends the front stage together beutifully. I really don't see a need to amp the surrounds, they sound even better(I run 7.1) now that the avr's front 3 channals are supplimented by the amp. Neither the xpa or the pioneer get too hot and they just seem to belong together. I couldn't be happier :)

    Who?

    Caligula already got the 5.

I'd say for the B-stock price, the XPA-5 is looking mighty fine, too.

What's your budget for the cables?

I'd just go with Signals...or Monoprice if you're trying to keep the cost down. Some lower end Audioquests, such as Sidewinders or Black Mamba's would also work very well on the cheap.

Personally, I'd pass on whatever crap brands they have at Best Buy. You can spend less and get a higher quality product online.

There are the Signals. You'd need a set of 5(pre-pro to amp).

Analog 1's are $90 a set, and Analog 2's are $115 a set. They can be found used pretty easily as well.

    Jeff,

I just edited my last post with some more info about the Signal's.

That being said...any RCA cable will work. I wouldn't use the ones that the Verizon guy gave you though...I'm sure they aren't the greatest cables.
