This was never officially in the flea market, so I figure I would combine some stuff in this thread.
I just bought, and received, some SDA1C's from Hoosier(Russ). I have to send a huge thank you, and another thank you to him for being a great person throughout the transaction. It happened by accident that I received an email, forwarded by a member, that Russ was "thinking" of selling some items. I saw these and immediately contacted Russ, much to his suprise.
After the kinda uncomfortable position he found himself in, he really got a laugh out of it. He was very nice and told me to give him a call, and the rest is basically history. He entertained all my questions, provided alot of information...pictures....time...and patience with getting me set up. The speakers were received in outstanding condition, and packed very very well. Russ, thanks man, and I look forward to more conversations about things in the future.
Its very refreshing to find such a good group of individuals on this site. As far as business transactions, for me personally, I think you would be hard pressed to find two people that exemplify good people like Russman and Hoosier. Thanks Russman(Russ) for the A+ transactions that we have conducted. You are a very valued opinion for me on here.
NOW...unfortunately I have no AI-1 cable...and I wanted to test these puppies out. I hooked them up to old reliable, the Sony ES, and gave them a whirl with Pink on SACD. Absolutely amazing, these speakers really just blow my mind. The soundstage was just frickin huge. This is no review, I will do that when I can run them on the Parasound. The speakers really do need some real manly power, and while I love my ES, its just not up to this task.
Anyways, thanks so much, my system has personal touches from you two guys. The main person responsible for most of this audio craziness, is my homeslice F1Nut(Jesse), he really has turned out to be the coolest person I have met in a long time. He will tantalize you with SDA demos until you say "**** the wife!" .."I am buying those speakers!" Thank you too man, you damn audio devil!
That is basically what I did, she is not real happy, but they are here now, so what can she do?
Thanks for reading, sorry to bore you, and I will be sleeping on the floor for the next 2 weeks, but I am a proud Dad

Awesome deal Mark! You have also been an absolute PLEASURE to do business with, I mean that.
Now get those SDA a NICE back end, and you're golden.
Welcome to the 'I have the best club' (at least as far as Polk speakers are concerned)

Most excellent doro. Happy listening on you.
A deal gone well with Russ is hardly a surprise around here, but it's always good to read about any deal gone well.
Ditto for Dan, har, raife and a host of others that have built an excellent good to bad deal ratio round here.More later,
Tour...

Make sure she realizes that you chose the smaller ones (for her) and if that is not adequate then you can always bring home the bigger ones (for her) which are big enough to be buried in...

Oh yea, I almost forgot. I think the 1C's may actually be my favorite. I have compared them with the original SDA-SRS, 1.2's, CRS+ and 2.3tl's. They seem to have a quietness aspect to them. You know, quieter between notes if that makes any sense.

Yeah, those guys are awesome! They worked together to get me a very good looking (sexy is reserved for speakers and tubes) preamp. The transaction was smooth as butter, with no worries or problems (that I'm aware of).
I hope to actually plug this preamp in to a socket in the near future. I have no worry as to it's functionality since Russ tested it and did a great packing job.Make it Funky!
