Sl-3000

Are there any speakers that will accept the SL-3000 tweeter that can be used as a center channel. I'd rather use a phantom center than something that will not match the 2.3 TLs'. More than 98 % of the time when watching a movie do we ever have folks over the house that get to far away from the sweet spot to matter. There are so many differing opinions about the necessitie of a center channel.

Since you have CRS+ speakers, I think you can modify them to accept RDO 198 tweeters which I believe is similar to SL3000. I am sure someone who modified CRS+ speakers will chime in. Didn't monitor 2 versions carry the SL3000 tweets. Maybe something in the monitor 5 size would work for you as a center. Just an idea.

Actually, reading about the monitor 7s', they have the sl2500 which by Polks' literature is very close to the sl3000. When I pick them up, I will try them. Also hearing that the cs400 or 400i are a good match.
