Sl-3000

Are there any speakers that will accept the SL-3000 tweeter that can be used as a center channel. I'd rather use a phantom center than something that will not match the 2.3 TLs'. More than 98 % of the time when watching a movie do we ever have folks over the house that get to far away from the sweet spot to matter. There are so many differing opinions about the necessitie of a center channel.

Since you have CRS+ speakers, I think you can modify them to accept RDO 198 tweeters which I believe is similar to SL3000. I am sure someone who modified CRS+ speakers will chime in. Didn't monitor 2 versions carry the SL3000 tweets. Maybe something in the monitor 5 size would work for you as a center. Just an idea.Polk HT system 1: LSIC, LSI25 mains, LSI F/X rears, Lsi F/X rear centers,
Yamaha RX-V2500 System, Carver A753 3 channel amp.
Polk HT system 2: , SRT system with f/x 1,000's rear speakers on 7.1 system currently using Onkyo TX-RZ820 receiver, powered by Sunfire Grand Theater amp
Polk Speaker collection: SDA SRS 1.2tl x 2, SRT system, SDA SRS 2 P/B, SDA 2A, SDA 1C Studio, SDA CRS+, Monitor 7B & 4, SRS 3.1tl, RTA 15tl, LS90, LSI 9 -
Actually, reading about the monitor 7s', they have the sl2500 which by Polks' literature is very close to the sl3000. When I pick them up, I will try them. Also hearing that the cs400 or 400i are a good match.
