    Nice IC's, and sound identical to their more expensive Copperhead sibling, IMO. Also, again IMO, both sound better than Diamondback.

    I will echo this. I swapped mine out for Diamondbacks on an audition from the local shop, and i felt the Sidewinders sounded better.

    I need another two pairs, but i can't swing the $75 right this instant i don't think. :(

    Interesting...I'd been considering the Diamondbacks. Have either of you gotten a chance to compare the Sidewinders to the King Cobras?

    Glad I read this today...there are a bunch of Diamondbacks and King Cobras on EBay now...DBs for as low as 68.00 w/ shipping. But, if they sound no better than the Sidewinders or Copperheads....I'll save my $.

    I haven't run the King Cobras, unfortunately. After my foray with the Diamondbacks, i decided that there were other more pressing things that needed to be addressed in my setup, and still are.

    Next order of business are some bigger, badder Paradigms and the MF V-Dac.


    I wouldn't completely rule out the DiamondBacks, either.... I've always had trouble trying to get my system to warm up that last little bit, and i imagine there's really nothing THAT similar between your setup and mine. But from what i've tried so far, i haven't felt the need to swap out the Sidewinders yet. I have 4 pairs of 1.5m that i got for $175 about a year ago, replacing all 4 with something blatantly better will run me a pretty penny. :eek:

    Let us know what you think of the Sidewinders. I think you'll be surprised for an "entry level" cable.

    Will do. I haven't gotten them into my rig yet. I'm getting some SDA2A's today, so I'm going to wait a few days to put the IC's in. I don't want to introduce too many new variables at one time.
