My Harmony 880 has decided to stop working so I need to replace it. I was going to just order the Harmony One but wanted to see if anyone can recommend something better in the $200 to $400 range. My biggest concern is the Pioneer Elite SC-05 and finding something that will work with it.

My vote would be for the Harmony One. I thought I was going to have to get one myself a few days ago, as my 880 wouldn't charge and eventually ran out of power. Had to remove the battery so that it rebooted, and then it would take a charge. But my next will be the One.

Can't go wrong with the Harmony One, I've been using mine now for about 8 months. I don't know how I lived without it. Fully customizable, huge online database, simple to set up and can learn anything you want it to do. Plus the downloadable channel icons are great. Lastly, it's virtually wife proof. My wife can now turn one everything she likes. :)

A common problem with the 880 is having the battery not sit right in the remote. That has caused people to believe they are broken. If you use a piece of paper to wedge and snug it up and try to charge it again, it may work. Just a thought, unless you REALLY want to get a new remote.

    Take Care,
    Shawn

Unfortunately mine will freeze then when it does function only 1/2 the commands will work. I ordered the Harmony One today I look forward to putting away 6 remotes again.

    Harmony remotes rule!!!
I just got done programing mine for my current 2-channel rig.
Mine is the H659. Best $42 on ebay I ever spent.

The only downfall to mine is that it will eat up cheap batteries.

The One will be my next remote purchase.

Did you need to get anything additional for it to control the PS3?

My Harmony One works just fine with the Pioneer SC-07.

This gets my vote as well.

I think you need to spend about $15-$20 for the IR dongle (that is a silly word).

The dongle makes it IR so the Harmony can communicate.

I am looking for a 880 battery cover if anyone has a dead 880. Mine vanished and no one seems to now what happened to it.

    Thanks Scott
I like speakers that are bigger than a small refrigerator but smaller than a big refrigerator:D

agreed, gave my wife a choice for my birthday present, harmony one, or csi a6. she could care less about speakers, and wasn't happy about all the remotes. So I'm lookin for a csi a6:) The h1 is an awesome addition to the ht and ALMOST (at least with my mrs) wifeproof. My first harmony product, but I love it! Nice putting all those remotes in a drawer and only using the ONE..
