Just buy one.... Personaly if i did'nt have other things going on i would put the 05 upstairs. I finally got all the features figured out on the 07. I will not be looking for another receiver for my home theater for some time now very happy with it.

I was going to step up to the SC-07 but It was more then I had to spend at the moment and when I compared the 2 it looks like I will only be out 10w and 1 HDMI out.

My SC-05 came today I am at work with it so can't wait until I get home. I was a little disappointed in the shipping and extra fees I was charged for using my American Express $699.99 went to $790.00 a little excessive if you ask me but I am still thrilled to have it.

CKPhoto, Congrats on the Purchase ..I forgot to mention they charged me for shipping and using the credit card and Taxes too:(.
(I hope they told you first.. they told me.) It wouldn't have cost anything if we lived close. But the price...What can you do...:D

I still think it was worth every penny.:D

I got mine for 795 shipped from a pioneer dealer on ebay. Guess I didn't to that badly after all.

For those concerned about the -07 having 10 watts more output, current is more important than watts (so I'm told), and both have the same size transformer, so should be able to put the same amount of current on the wire (again, so I'm told).
    Turntable: Empire 208
    Arm: Rega 300
    Cart: Shelter 501 III
    Phono Pre: dsachs consulting
    Digital: Marantz SACD 30n
    Pre: Conrad Johnson ET3 SE
    Amp: Conrad Johnson Premier 350
    Cables: Cardas Neutral Reference
    Speakers: SDA 2.3TL, heavily modified

I will say you did get a bettter price.. :D

I here you, I just perfered to go with a person and place i know is there.
with Ebay you can still get stuck. Maybe if I could research the store on ebay it would have been different. ;)

With Videogon this seller has a good reputation. and some of the log time members/posters on this forum have used them so you have an idea of what you are getting. eg. if you are buying B-stock or New and if their are any issues if they are fast to resolve them.

I had it shipped the same day, UPS sent me a tracking number, The purchase was fully Insured and authorized dealer as well.:D

can you send me a link to the dealer? Thanks

I am still very happy... I put on Pink Floyd Dark side of the moon LP while I unpacked it and read some of the manual. After I got it hooked up and a fast calibration played dark side again I must say WOW very nice sound much warmer then my Yamaha and a ton of head room.
