    I've got the P229 in .40 S&W with SigLite tritium night sights.

    I've also got the P239 in 9mm with standard white dot on post sights.

    I can attest to the build quality, reliability, durability and overall excellence of SIG-Sauer auto-loading pistols. If you are in the market for what many experts consider to be among the top concealed carry 9mm pistols in existence, give the P239 a try. That's a good price considering the additional 2 mags.

    Nice Piece of hardware!

    As Doc has said, Sig makes excellent quality stuff. My personal experience is only with Beretta, Ruger and Colts, although I have handled the Sig's. FYI-From what I heard about the military trials on a new pistol to replace the Colt .45, the Sig was chosen over the Beretta but since Beretta came with a cheaper price tag they got the contract. No slamming against Beretta though, they are quality as well!

    Now, if you had an HK USP for that price I would definitely be interested!

    But..., I'd have to admit, I'm a wheelgun fanatic. Old style it might be but I like 'em!! (So does my wife as she owns a Smith 629 with a 4 inch barrel).

    Good price on this Sig people!!

    Thanks. I really like SIG's. I have a friend that is increasing my interest in old S&W wheel guns. He recently got a 629 Mountain Gun. It's a very nice piece of hardware.

    SIG's are the only thing I trust my life with.

    Hey, Doc! Is that Kukri I see there? Badass knives that work well as axes, hammers and blunt weapons!

    Yes, it is a custom version of this Cold Steel LTC Kukri. Mine is 21" long vs. 17" as shown here. It is the same in all other respects, including the famous Carbon V steel. You cannot find my particular Kukri on the website; Cold Steel made a short run of them and offered one to me and I snagged it.

    The longer blade obviously generates more swing velocity and greater cutting power. It is easily capable of removing a limb or decapitating a person, but I use it primarily for clearing shooting lanes during archery season. It carries nicely strapped to the thigh.

    You are correct, it is an all purpose unit that takes the place of several other woodsman tools.

    I have an old Cold Steel Tanto, 61/2" blade, it makes me want to stab myself just looking at it :eek:

    Doc - Nice Redhawk! I was planning on purchasing a Super Blackhawk Hunter this spring but I bought a new amp instead. Can you, personally, really throw that tooth pick?

    Thanks. The red dot has since been replaced with a 1X power Burris scope. It offers more accuracy at longer ranges.

    I use either Remington 275 grain JHP Core Lokt, or Garret 310 grain hard cast, or Buffalo Bore 270 grain JSP for hunting. These loads knock deer flat on their ****.

    With the right load, the .44 Magnum still has the power and penetration for cleanly taking all big game in North America, with the possible exception of the brown bear and the moose.

    And no, I've never tried to throw the Kukri, and I don't think it was designed for that purpose; its weight distribution is all wrong.

    Ron have you seen the P245 yet? It's basicaly the P220, but with a shorter barrel and slightly smaller. It's relatively new.

    I just decided to go with the P229 instead of the P226. Basicaly the same handgun, just a tad bit smaller for conceal purposes but not nearly as small and dinky as their 'personal' sized handguns. It feels just as good and balanced in my hand but a lot easier to carry.

    Just a thought.
