ok if you're stupid enough to jump the fence and jump into the moat of several polar bears.. you DESERVE to be eaten by them. Dumb people.

Yeah, saw that on ABC with the line, "When animals attack..." As if it was the polar bears' or zoos' fault this happened. She evidently scaled a fence and crawled across thorny plants to, "take a swim".

That Frau was huge! Looks like she needs a Polar Bear pole.

She should be arrested for tresspassing on zoo property and sued by the zoo for causing distress to an animal.

just think though.. the zoo could have saved money by not having to feed the bears for the rest of the week had they not pulled her out.

I'm glad they didn't have to put the bear down because of her stupidity.

Definite a nomination for Darwin Awards. She even jumped in during feeding time. Let's see.... A wild animal who would just as soon as eat you as look at you in nature, conditioned to gobble up meat when tossed in at scheduled times, is going to ignore some LIVE meat that climbs in during feeding time?

Too many people buy into that "bambi complex" where animals are given human traits, ignoring the fact that animals, especially wild ones, are programmed to behave in a way that have few human traits & values. 'bet her idea of "teddy bear" is a bit different now!

" It's unclear why the woman entered the bear habitat, but police issued her a citation for trespassing. "

I think she may have mistaken one of the bears for a relative, and decided to pay Aunt Minnie a visit.

Oh ok.... I deeply apologize for posting the nasty comments in here about her. I had no idea she had lost her job and was depressed.

Yeah that's the first thing I think of when i'm depressed.... where is the nearest zoo that has polar bears that will maul me. causing the whole world to show me pity and some much needed attention.

Hey lady next time you're depressed... jump into the Panda bear exhibit, not the polar bear. sheesh!

Stupid, no other word to describe that act. I remember one of our techs in the Eastern Arctic was out doing some line work and actually got "poled" by a Polar Bear. Yup, the bear was at the bottom of a telephone phone standing up shaking the pole, while the tech had scurried to the top. Luckily he remained calm and made a telephone call for help. Just a lunch in the eyes of the bear.

This polar bear thing is getting out of hand. There has been another vicious attack recorded. This one is pretty graphic. Something must be done to protect the public from these animals.
