If nothing else, I like the image they used for the wallpaper. Sounds like a great deal though. Thanks John!

This laptop is designed to be a media laptop (based on the GPU and HDMI output). It'll be decent for surfing the web and basic office use, but that's about it besides playing movies.

You just stated everything that a laptop is typically used for. What else is left? Hardcore gaming? If you are in to that, you shouldn't be looking at laptops.

Keep in mind it's a slim design as well so that limits availability of options.

    Thanks for the heads-up, John.

I'm registered at Woot but seldom remember to peek in and see the daily offering. I picked up two of them for my college age daughters. One (the oldest) broke the display on her old Gateway, the other had her Dell stolen recently.

Needless to say, I'm a hero (for a day or two.)

Okay, the CPU is a bit on the slow side for a true screamer, but with a dedicated video card like that, it should hold its own as a gamer/video processing laptop. Bluetooth? Webcam? Jesus.
Helluva deal at twice the price.
