Face had a thread wanting 2 MW6503's, and had me wondering what drivers are the hardest to come by. Here is my guess, and I am talking about finding originals.

MW6513 has to be #1
MW6509
MW6510
MW6511
MW6503
MW6501

The MW6500 seems to be the easiest to find. But the peerless tweeters seem to have a dry spell here and there.

I just realized I didn't take the SRT System in to consideration. I am sure the drivers in these would be incredibly hard to find..

Wrong. It's the MW6502. I found one in my basement last night. Can't get any easier than that.

Original 6511's are tough to get. You have to be fast when they appear on the Bay. I'm fixing to purchase a pair of 1B's that I hope have a 6511 or 2 in them. If not, they can go to my girlfriend. I got her a pair of realistic Mach 1's (4024A) that she's using right now but I think the SDA's are a step in the right direction.

Polk CS tells me that the mids and tweeters are still available directly from them but that the subwoofer drivers are not available. I guess that means there are about 1,000 of them out there in the US with maybe a few spares.....

    Ed would know....

    I'd upgrade the subwoofers anyways.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I have a source for SRT sub drivers, he's got literally 100's of them.

What I'm frustrated about, is nothing for the first and second gen RT line. I've got a mint pair of RT20p's, but the subs are oop, and and weird size to boot (7 3/4"). I keep hanging onto them in hopes something will surface so I can restore them, they sound FANTASTIC with a good bill of health.

    Cheers,
    Russ
