Dear All,

For a while I am a proud owner of my Polksurround system, but still haven't decided which subwoofer should I buy for this system. Velodyne, I cannot afford obviusly... My budget for the LFE are somewhere between 500-600 US dollars. PSW125 has 30cm speaker, while DSW Pro 500 only 25cm. Some say that DSW sounds like a 12" sub, but PSW125 is cheaper tho. I have heard the DSW Pro 600 model, and it was excellent, but in price not my budget sadly. Or is it worth waiting to get some more money invested in DSW 600 than 500? Do you guys have some experience you can share with me regarding this? Would be appreciated. The room is 4mx5m. Thank you in advance!

Best regards,
Vik

Of course the 600 would be my first choice....but the 500 is really a better sub than the PSW125 also. So if I were pressed to choose between the two I would NOT hesitate to go 500...lower range...a bit more power. Tighter base, more musical, etc.

If you can wait, the 600 is even better, though!

I am with C on this one, I own a PSW125 and while it is a very capable sub, the DSW series is much better and worth the extra money. The 500 will do nicely, but like said above if you can wait the 600 would be better.

Thanks for the input. Meanwhile I will try to take care about time and buy the bigger one. If not then DSW 500, but anyway PSW series is off the table then. Thanks again.

Also look at the PSW505....you can these new for around 250.00.

Also, check if Polk Direct is an option for where you live. I bought a refurbished DSW600 from them and it looks brand new to me...
