2 channel speaker suggestions

So here it is. Currently I want to pick up a pair of SDA 2B's to possibly use in my system for a dedicated 2 channel rig. However I want back up suggestions that I can look into for a two channel system. I wanted to use the SDA's as I've never had a pair and would like to try them out.
However over the past weekend I did get to hear some Paradigm and lets say I really dig the sound. I LOVE The amount of bass my A9's are putting out for 2 channel, make it so I don't even think I would ever need a sub at all. I also really like the Paradigm sound. Heard a pair of Monitor 11's as well as the Studio 20's and 100's (100's are out of price range unless get used the 20's were not bad but I would need to listen to them more to get a true opinion on them). The cost of the 11's would be 1400 I can get shipped from a dealer new.
Now thats a big jump over just some SDA 2Bs and I didn't really know if you guys had any ideas for floorstanders or bookshelf's that can produce a similar sound but could be in the same range in terms of price. Right now I would have to save up a bit more for the Monitor 11's so I could get them in a couple months (I think, I can always pull money out of some stuff if need be but would rather leave it in there for now).
Right now my biggest complaint is the brightness of the A9's. I want something that is less bright, but will still give me a lot of bass that will come through as well as detail and clarity.
It would be paired with my Adcom 5802, MIT AVT 3 IC's, Signal Cable Ultra SC, Pio DV 47AI, and either the parasound 2100 or Golden Tube audio SEP-1

Of all the choices you mention above................the SDA's are far superior, especially once you add RD0's and refresh the x-overs.
Newer Polks RTi's, RTiA's, TS, Monitor series are really very mundane compared to SDA's and are not really designed for serious 2ch listening, IMO.
Also SDA's really can't be compared to other speakers, but they will give you all the bass and detail you need and the soundstage is staggering.
My vote is for SDA's and 2B's are a nice start.

P.s. If you ever down to Rockford area you're more than welcome to stop by and hear my 1C's."Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? Chris, you have PM.
And for the record, i don't know how much you were paying attention, but i REALLY dug the sound of those Studio 60s, and they were only being powered by a Marantz integrated. You've got a better setup than that, imo.I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.
