I nearly had a heart attact over the weekend. I found my sub dead, dead as in DOA. Nothing but hum and some static when I turned on the volume and plugged in the RCA cable. No signal was getting to it.

come to find out the cat was playing behind the subwoofer and unplugged the rca cable.. i had no idea cats had opposeable thumbs to do that. ;)

Sub is fine.. and working again.

I honestly did not want to have to replace it.. subwoofers are a personal thing and I would seriously miss this one. Yeah there are better subs out there, but so far I have not found one that works so well in my house/room

    It's an Adire Audio Dharman 12" driver two front ports forward firing. dimensions 22x22x22 cube

    tuned to 22 Hz - won't go quite as deep as the (SVS) 20-39PCi, but close.

    I replaced the original driver after I got it with a SVS driver. slam factor is pretty good with it.

    Cats like to do all sorts of crazy things.

    Mine astonished me a few days ago.

    I was sitting on the couch playing some guitar...I had my amp next to the couch, and there was a cup of water sitting on top of it.

    There's also a change jar sitting on the floor right in front of the amp.

    One of my cats is sitting on top of the amp(they love the warmth from the tubes)...gets up, and walks past the cup of water...knocking it over on it's way past. I see it out of the corner of my eye, and I'm thinking "@&^%#$ CAT!!!!"

    Sure enough, I watch as the cup of water neatly tips over, and lands upside down INSIDE of the change jar. As far as I could see, not a drop of water went on the floor, on my amp, or anywhere else but inside of my change jar...lol

    I suppose I'd rather have it that way, than having to mop a bunch of water up out of my carpet. I had to dump the water out of my change jar and lay all the change out on a towel for a while so it could dry...lol
