I noticed they have a new Dances with Wolves dvd released today. It's the longer version. Does anyone know if it has dts
sound? Anyone want to do a review and compare it to the
original dvd? Is it worth buying, I already have the dolby digital
version.
Thanks, Mike

Dolby only on the new release, no dts. What you want is to find a copy of the dts version, it's oop, but it is full bit-rate.

    Peace Out~:D

    Ron,
Thanks for the info. Do you hear a big difference with the DTS
version? I went to ebay and there seems to be several
versions of the dts dances with wolves. All region single disc
sets which are probably fakes from Asia, then there are all
region 2 disc sets and finally region 1 two disc sets which
are the real thing but pricey. I wonder if they'll relrelease
the dts version. It seems stupid to let it go out of print.

What you want is one like this...

The dts track is outstanding. Far superior to the dd tracks (less the new release I have yet to hear).

I doubt you'll see another version like this hit the streets any time soon. It's expensive, but if you like the film, it's the one to get.

    Ron,

Thanks for the information. I got that one and it is good. I got it cheep as well. I guess i got lucky. One of those dot com busts going out of business sale.

Why isn't everything dts? Dolby is just not that good.

I bid on the one Ron linked to. But lost. I maxed bid at 23 and it sold for 24.50.
