I made the 1700 mile trip 4 weeks ago to Phoenix to pick up the speakers I bought last November. I went with the motorhome Jeep in tow to haul the large 1.2's. Stayed down there for three weeks of sun.

When I got to my friends house to inspect the speakers I was amazed at how great they looked ,he had picked them up from the seller and stored them for me. They sure are big.

When I got home on Saturday I set them up and was amazed at the sound WOW .The seller replaced the tweeters a week before I bought them with the Rdo 198's.
I also had Ben make me a new interconnect cable. Here are a few pics

It's a aftermarket innerconnect cable. The blade isn't needed.

Nice looking big boys. See the great thing about coupling your vacation with the pickup is that you don't have to add in the gas money to your total expense on the speakers; the gas money was a part of the vacation, and the speakers just happened to be in the same town at the same time wating for you!:D

It's a ground. Only electrically needed when you're using the AI-1 isolation transformer with a non-common-ground amp.

1.2TLs have an effect on people. Had a guy buying an amp of mine today. He demoed the big SDAs and said he needed to find a pair for himself.

Very true but it is also used as a stabilizer on the straight SDA cable.

Nah, I'm still kicking around. My system hasn't changed in a long while so I haven't been too chatty. Next upgrade I need is a good listening room. Still stuck in my temporary situation with speakers bigger than the room.
