Hello expert

A friend of mine gave me a Monster hts 5100 ss power conditioner but I dont know what to do with it. |I would like to hear your feedback before I start doing stupid things to break my A/V system. So far, I have my media center, receiver, mixer, TV, and microphone receivers connected to the power surge. Should I plug these items to the power conditioner? Would it do any harm to the house?

Thanks in advance.

I sound stupid. I opened it today and it looks just like a regular power strip. IT doesnt take a genius to operated this. Sorry for the time

NP, hope you like it. I have a Monster power strip myself and it is the only piece of Monster equipment I own. The warranty and insurance benefits on it are worth it for the piece of mind.

Maybe it's only on the Powercenters, but I know the one I have carries a $500,000 replacement warranty if it is determined that it was a power issue and the strip didn't protect your equipment.

Just be sure to connect everything through the power center or your warranty could be voided. Mine has had to go into protect mode several times during storms, in fact the last big storm we had it protected all my HT stuff while I lost a tube TV that wasn't protected.

    From the Monster manual:

Important Note – Proper Protection and the Limited Connected Equipment Warranty
The $500,000 U.S. Limited Connected Equipment Warranty becomes invalid if any wire (AC, coax or phone)
or audio or video interconnect leading into the equipment comes from a component that is not properly protected
by the PowerCenter. See the Warranty Information section of this owner’s manual for important details
