great weekend!

Well I have to say a big thank you to concealer404 for showing me around his city and playing his gear for me. Also a big thanks to HB27 for the turntable for me to start even more of this 2 channel journey on.
I really didn't think I was going to be picking anything up but after going to this really cool audio place (ovation ultimate) it was amazing. I ended up picking up a golden tube audio SEP-1 to try out in my system as well as I picked up a turntable as well from HB27.
So far I've been testing to see what I'm going to like better the SEP-1 or the parasound 2100. There are pros and cons to both but so far I am liking the SEP-1 on the A9's as well as the adcom. Holy crap the 5802 brought the bass out on these things. The SEP-1 I think knocks some of the brightness off, however not sure how I like it yet.

I'm sure I'll be back down again and hopefully they might have those paradigms still around.

I really think you're going to have to take the time to roll some tubes in that sucker. It sounded good, but i think you can tame the highs even more with the right tube. I don't remember what was in there.

We should have brought a camera to Ovation Ultimate. Watt Puppies, Rega, Thiel, Maggies, Genesis, Proarc, AR, Naim, BAT, Cambridge, Paradigm, Anthem, Focal, etc etc etc...

My favorites of the weekend?

The entirely Rega bookshelf setup, the Anthem/Paradigm Signature setup (if i win the lottery, maybe), and mine.

Oh, and Chris... i wish i had taken the time to get the Oinker Cyclops amp back in the mix before you left. This sucker ROCKS. I guess i missed it or something.
