Lost my wallet :(

Was out on a motorcycle ride today and lost my wallet. Last I saw it was when I stopped for gas 60 miles ago. Apparently I never zipped my jacket pocket back up before leaving (thank God I remembered to zip up the cell phone pocket!). So, it's too dark to backtrack 60 miles today, and I'm trying to figure out what I should do. I guess start calling my cc and debit companies to cancel all my cards. Luckily, I only had $2 cash on me. Plus my driver's license is up for renewal, so come Thursday I can get a new camera card anyway.

Argh... I'm more pissed off at myself than anything, because I always repeatedly check my pockets before I take off.
Ludicrous gibs!

I called the gas station where I last know I had it, and they said nobody turned it in yet. They have my name and number to call...

If you need credit bureau and social security admin numbers to call let me know. I have them all programmed in my phone for just such an occasion or if I get it stolen.

    I have 3 for Equifax: 1-800-525-6285 | 1-800-685-1111 | 1-800-842-8496
I can't remember which one is for the fraud line though.

    TransUnion: 1-800-680-7289 | 1-800-888-4213

    Experian: 1-888-397-3742

    Social Security: 1-800-269-0271

ETA: I looked these up once upon a time ago but I've seen these same numbers in various forwards over the years so I'm pretty confident they are all correct or will at least get you to the right person or department eventually.

Totally sux, when I ride I only carry DL, one credit card in case, and a few green backs. I never carry the wallet. I place the items I do carry in a card holder. Hope it turns up OP.

Good luck to you and I pray somebody returns it to you somehow.

We return items and have had my wifes wallet with the works and I think 240.00 or 420.00 in it turned in where she droped it. No name was left either for us to reward them for their great deed.

Cards and liscences are harder to replace then the cash as most of us know already.
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

As a side note, I always keep a post-it note in my wallet that just says "if found please call..." I think most people given the opportunity will be honest / good if you make it easy enough for them.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Well, luckily there was only $2 cash in there, so not much incentive to keep the wallet. Other than my DL... The cards have all been cancelled at this point, so I'm out of plastic for a few days. Also means I'll have to write a check out for cash to get some money from my debit acct. My DL's was actually expired at the time, and I was carrying my temporary card with me, but I HADN'T put it in the wallet, because it was too big!

So, I have the renewal certificate, but no old card to prove I am who I say. At least I don't travel with my SS card! All my health ins cards were in there too... *sigh*
