Friend of mine runs what most would call an Indie record label (Edgetone Records). One of the artists on that label got a really nice write up on The Velvet Sofa Salon.
What struck me most, is the way Thollem describes music. Listening, creating, sounds, emotions and how he turns life experiences into music. It made me realize that perhaps, with the music listening I do, I'm listening in only one dimension. Perhaps emotion plays too great a part in my listening method. I think I'll give some of my favorites a spin and try listening a new way.

Without music to decorate it, time is just a bunch of boring production deadlines or dates by which bills must be paid. ..... Frank Zappa
