CSI-A6 or CSI-A4

First posting to the forum.....

Recently upgraded my system ......1st in about 12 yrs.......
1st time using Polk......previously had Kenwood gear(that should tell you how old the previous equipment was....I must admit...I had to warm up to the RTI 10's at 1st.......now I love them............set-up is for both home theatre & music(as I'm an avid collector/listener).....the RTI 10's were recommended by a friend,as I was originally looking for a small set-up.....but he suggested these would be better for music......

Yamaha HTR 6290 amp
Polk RTI10's(front)
Polk R150's (rear)
Polk psw111

Now I need a centre to complete....
CSI-A4 or CSI-A6.......
difference of $100 here locally to buy.....

Can't decide which to buy.....any suggestions which will compliment the system better.......as I will not be doing another upgrade for awhile.......
CSI-A6 is rather intimidating in size......is this the only difference??????

opinions......suggestions???????

Thanx in advance......:)

Go for the 6 if you have the space and can afford it. Not heard the 4, but much of the audio portion of movies comes through the center, and as they say, go BIG or go home. You won't regret it.

You might want to watch Polk's ebay store ( http://stores.ebay.com/Polk-Audio-Direct ) for an A6. I don't see any on there right now, but the stock there changes regularly.

    Anyone??

CSiA6 would be a better match.

since the central channel is a key channel, if u can accomodate the A6 do it, it's undeniably a better center.

I have the A4 and am pretty happy with it. Everyone always recommends the 6 over the 4 though. It is true that if you can afford/fit the larger speaker then go with it. I could not fit the 6 in my cabinet so i had no choice but to get the 4.
    Front - RTiA5's
    Rear - RTiA3's
    Center - CSiA4

I have the CSi-A6 and am VERY happy with it. My only problem has been finding a stand for the HD TV to sit on that the A6 will fit under. It's large compared to other centers. I did find a guy who builds really nice ones, or you can build one yourself. From what I've heard, with the RTI 10's, the 6 would match better, and worth the extra $100. My 2 pennies worth.

I still want to take an RTiA9 and build a center out of it with one less driver of course..

That would be BIG and BAD if it was done right..

I have the CSi5 and it is EXCELLENT. I recommend it highly (or the A6). I can never find an A6 on the polk ebay store, but I got a great deal on the CSi5 online.
