dual home subwoofer and LFE help

I know this has been asked before but how should I hook up 2 psw10 subs on a onkyo TX-DS575 with a single sub out put with a pair of TSi 300 front channel speakers?
1 split sub out with a y connector
2 hook one sub up to sub out and the other through line level and the fronts
TSi300 off of the line level outs of the sub and use the crossover on the sub.
and last on the onkyo I have a Button that will cycle through LFE Dbs I keep it at 0dbs does this mean that there is NO LFE effects on the sub out put, and if I use the #1 option above should I turn my subs to the max on the crossover and the keep the LFE set at 0?

use a y, if you are connecting to a LFE on the receiver it does all the cross-over work not the one on the back of your sub. if your sub has a LFE in then use it and it will bypass everything except the volume usually.
