I just snagged this tonight.

It's been out for years obviously, but for some reason it never crossed my mind that "hey, you don't have that!" until tonight.

Can't wait for the next time the family is away so I can crank it up and listen to it all day long...while naked of course.

Thanks to my dad to raising me on Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, and Steve Miller Band!

Did you grab the box set, or all of the albums individually? If it's the box set...I'm interested in hearing your impressions on the sound quality of the CD's. I've been somewhat unhappy with the SQ on most of my Floyd CD's when compared to their vinyl counterparts. I believe that box set contains the most recent remasterings.

That's a great collection to have...between my vinyl, tapes and CD's, I've got all of them. I keep all of my Pink Floyd albums at the ready in my listening area at all times.:)

    It's every album individually.

An old friend of mine has the entire collection, and was kind enough to rip each one to FLAC for me as a gift.

I'm not a "new fan" in any sense of the word. I also have quite a few of their CD's already, just not the whole collection (yet).

I bought this one right after I bought an sacd player cheap on amazon.

i have the plain version cd too.

No comparison. The sacd version is much mo' betta.

Sorry, I don't think you can rip sacd music yet.

But its going to be doable in the near future..Should revive the sacd
    format.

    +1000!!!

The Division Bell is a very underrated album. Some of my favorite Floyd songs have come from that album, and IMO some of Gilmour's VERY BEST guitar work has come from that album.

For instance, High Hopes, Take It Back, and A Great Day For Freedom are all from that album...and are absolutely incredible songs.

I do agree with most people, in that A Momentary Lapse of Reason is a less than stellar album.

Believe it or not my favorite song on Division Bell is "Lost for Words." It documented a very bad time in my life about 12 years ago and expresses everything I was feeling at the time. Now I listen to it and love it because it reminds me how far I've come from that time of deep despair.

Lost for Words is another great song. I listened to The Division Bell earlier today for the first time in a while, and at damn near max volume. It was a great time!! TDB is an EXCELLENT album...I don't care what anyone else has to say about it!!
