That show was mind-bending when it came out; especially the first handful of episodes. That scene in the red-curtained room with the backwards talking and the "little person" is still fresh in my mind--it was SO different than anything else on TV! Good soundtrack too.

This was absolutely one of the best shows ever to be aired on TV. I just watched the 11th episode last night. It's scary it has been 20 years!! Wow!!

Edit: By the way I prefer coffee and a donut.:D

My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

It aired twenty years ago.... A great first season and then I moved on. The script went to crap. Northern Exposure had a script that remained good for much longer.

All ****. It aired twenty years ago.... A great first season and then I moved on. The script went to crap. Northern Exposure had a script that remained good for much longer.

Yes, the first season was "easier" to watch. Then it started getting pretty dang serious (and yet didn't seem so at the same time). It was kind of like some people were able to see the underneath stuff going on in the show and others saw the (sort of) "normal" everyday stuff that appears in a lot of shows. Kind of like the "Invitation to Love" stuff.

I have the first season boxed set on standard DVD w/ DTS audio.
The PQ and SQ on this box set is probably the best standard DVD I own.

How to you rate the picture quality of the Gold Box Edition??

Unfortunately trhe Definitive Gold Edition Box does not have the DTS option as the first season set does. Also, the PQ of the Gold Box is very clear, but is darker than the first season set. Overall, I would say the first season box is the best out of the 3 sets that came out.

The Peaks weren't for everyone but neither is David Lynch. My best friend is an Indie filmmaker with a similar imagination and vision so obviously I was a fan!

20 years! Forget about the coffee and pie....someone hand me a brandy, QUICK. I have to sit down!

I don't know how many of you watch the USA Network show "Psych", but it paid tribute to "Twin Peaks" tonight with an episode called "Dual Spires". The episode not only featured many of the actors that were in "Twin Peaks" (Sherilyn Fenn, Sheryl Lee, Dana Ashbrook, Ray Wise, Robyn Lively, Lenny Von Dohlen and Catherine Coulson), but the theme song of "Psych" was re-recorded by Julee Cruise in a "Twin Peaks" fashion. Everything in the episode, from the background music to the setting, was inspired by "Twin Peaks". Yes, there was pie and coffee (+ donuts)....and the Log Lady was there too. In case you didn't see the episode, here're some photos from it.
