I love my iPhone 3G as well, but had to jailbreak it to get a lot of the extras that I've been waiting for. Hopefully OS4 puts most (or all) of those in the main tree.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Yeah, no Flash. However, HTML5 is slowly gaining traction...

WebOS is still a much more superior mobile OS imo. Apple is playing catch up in many areas, but their zombies (aka customers) don't really care that much.

Otherwise, why would they continue to buy iCrap?

There are already ads inside of a lot of Apps, Apple is just centralizing them and making some money off of it for themselves.

Some nice features coming but still missing a few of things I was hoping for.

    - Better notification system
    - Better / more informative lock screen

Why is my opinion on the quality of Apple products worth the time you spent calling me dumb? I think most Apple products cost twice what they're worth and none of them hold any interest to me.

Did I tell anyone else that they shouldn't buy one or that they were stupid for liking Apple? Pretty sure I didn't.

Sucks to be someone who bought an iPad. Not sure why it will take till Fall for the iPad to get OS 4 (or w/e they're calling it) when the older iPhones/Itouch will be getting this summer.

    Huh?

A new phone was not announced, this is an OS upgrade for existing phones.

According to the press conference this will be available on 3GS (the newest iPhone) versions only, with SOME features (not multitasking) available on the 3G version.

An "iPhone 4" - new HARDWARE, not to be confused with iPhone OS4 which was just announced - has been rumored for the summer, but no official word or specs have been released.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

    OK...

    1 - I didn't call you dumb, I called your statement dumb.
2 - You called Apple customer 'zombies' and incinuated they dont' care about some aspect of their products.

I see that bob responded as well, glad I'm not the only one who noticed it...

Update: Here's a big "lose some" -- only the iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 3G will support multitasking. The iPhone 3G and below won't -- Steve says the hardware doesn't support it. Sad face.

Looks like anything below the 3GS won't be getting it.

I think that's right, but I've seen this mentioned in conjunction with the phone being dubbed as the 4G. I wonder if this will be released on the current models before then or if it's going to be like the 3.1/3GS thing...
