LOTR - I think that's a pimp deal. Have you seen the movie???
The movie in itself is worth 20 bucks, but to give you more info on the 4 dvd set: the first two dvd's have the extended version of the film- an extra half hour not shown in the theater, bringing the total to 3 1/2 hours of pure brillance. The extended version also has DTS in addition to DD (a plus for us audiophiles). The second two discs are all extras dedicated to the making of the movie. Mainly turning the ideas and story of the book into a screenplay and props, and then casting and shooting it, discs 3 and 4 respectively.

I also have U-571, the depth charge scence is legendary for testing your systems dynamic ability. I'd pay $12 for it.

Faster, There is a little shop off of 11th ave and 22nd st called Bananas that has the 4 disc set for $18. They have a several diffferent titles as well as thousands of used cd's. They also have vintage gear for sale. You can get the exact address from the phonebook, and since your zip is 33703, I'm guessing you are less than 4 miles away.

I was watching it last night, and I would say that $20 is definitly a good deal. The one draw back to the EE version is that it is so long. I feel as though I have to plan ahead with my time before I can sit down and watch it. Therefore, I only watched it for an hour.
The sound quality is great, and I think they understand the benefits of surround sound correctly. Their use of surround was very enveloping. I felt like I was in the shire. Even with just the subtle, subtle sounds of birds chirping in the backgroud, the effects felt very professional. I would say $20 is more than fair.
