I was perusing acoustic sounds last week and came across David & David "Boomtown".....one of my fave 80's albums.

They have a Classic 200gm reissue on sale for 8 bucks (8.45, IIRC)....anyhow, the pressing is fantastic. It sounds MUCH better than the original vinyl. Don't get me wrong, this isn't audiophile demo material...but it's well done.

Anyhow, for less than ten bucks, great album, great pressing....zero downside.

I've got an original that sounds really good. Do you think the Classic re-issue is that much better as to be worth it? Mind you for $8.00 and shipping.....

I dunno...up to you. The reissue sounds better than my original pressing. YMMV.

David and David's "Welcome to the Boomtown" is a masterpiece imho. If u really want some material to put your system through its paces-- try David Baerwald, "Triage". OUTSTANDING! For those of you who didn't know-- Mr. Baerwald was a guiding force for a no-name artist named Sheryl Crowe (Tuesday Night Music Club).. Sheryl's debut and best work to date.

Just went to Acoustic sounds for the $8 copy of David and David and it's listed for $40. Guess I'll stick with my cd copy.....
