New here so Hi to all.
Jim is my name and I'm in Chi-town smoggy metro area.
So I sold an old JVC receiver today which I bought in 2001. The guy asked if I had speakers for a small enclosed patio. I told him all I had extra were a pair of the Monitor4 speakers which I haven't used in at least 6 years, maybe 10 years and I hadn't been prepared to sell them. Maybe a few more bucks in my pocket.
I came home pulled them out, wiped the dust off of them and set them up next to my Monitor 5 Jr.'s, hooked 'em up and began to spin various CD's. I suddenly had a deja vu experience of the time I FIRST heard these speakers. I then typed out an e-mail to the guy who bought my receiver telling him thanks, but no thanks. As old as these little 4's are they appear to be just as good as when I took them out of the box.:D My problem now is which set do I listen to, the 4's or the 5 Jr.'s? I think I'm gonna switch between the two for the time being.
I'm glad I plugged these babies in again. Just wanted to share this story with you all. I haven't kept up with the speaker changes in the last ten years or so, but I'm happy with what I have.

Nice story Jim, ive got 2 pair of M4's and 1 pair of M4.5's. They are all great lil speakers. Most of them only hear how loud it sounds, and the rest of us hear everything else -

What ohm ratings are the Monitor 4? I have an old set from years ago that are going on the fritz. Need to replace parts.
