New Sub Replacement

I'm considering replacing my current sub with something that has a little more "umph" to it.
Room Stats: 20'x28' with 16' cathedral ceiling and 1 door way (10'x12') directly across from TV and main speakers.
Current setup in my signature below. Main usages: TV (40%); Music: Jazz, Top 40, and Classical (30%); BlueRay/DVD (30%)
What would be your recommendation:
* DSW microPRO 3000 ~$1,300 per Amazon new
* DSW microPRO 4000 ~$1,000 per Amazon new (go figure, cheaper than 3000)
Any opinions if the 4000 would be too overpowering for music, especially for Jazz?

Thats a fairly large room, I would say step to the SVS PB13U or the PB12 plus which will have more output. The 13U is good for HT and music. Said to be pretty tight and fast also.Shoot the jumper.....................BALLIN.............!!!!!

If it's the 1000 you're interested in replacing, let me know.

Yes, The 1000 would replace the PSW 350 in a different room making the 350 available. The 1000 is a fine sub and does fill the room (just fills it), but my ear senses something is missing and my wife will not allow larger speakers than my vm10's so I need to compensate in the sub for where the VM can not produce.Zone 1

Good to know. I'm looking to get my hands on a used 1000/2000 for a 2.1 setup. -

You can pick up a new 2000 on Amazon for $500 or a new 1000 for $625

(go figure, the 2000 is cheaper than the 1000 - same logic why the 3000 is more expensive than the 4000?)Zone 1
